Corsa worth it?

Is a Corsa a smart pick for a first car? I've seen a bunch of people online saying no, because they get totaled a lot and insurance is high. Any thoughts?

The Corsa EV is a solid city car, but I get why people say it’s not ideal as a first car. It’s small, lightweight, and insurance companies love to overcharge for hatchbacks that get written off easily in minor crashes. If you’re okay with higher insurance costs and slightly limited space, it’s a decent pick, but I’d compare rates with other EVs before committing.
