The Opel Corsa Electric seems like a solid first car choice but some people say to avoid it as a first car altogether due to insurance costs and high write-off rates. I'm pretty much browsing and considering getting a different car from the usual car. A first car should be affordable, easy to drive, and cheap to insure so does the Corsa Electric fit that criteria? Or did I read the specs wrong?
For those who have owned or driven one how does it compare to other small EVs? Is it reliable and easy to live with or is there a better option for someone new to driving? Not really a low maintenance type but I don't want to be overwhelmed.
Would you recommend the Corsa Electric as a first car or are there better alternatives like the Toyota Aygo X, Peugeot e-208, or Citroën ë-C1?
