I just swapped out the rear brake pads on my 2015 Corsa VXR, and let me tell you, getting those outside pads back into the caliper guides was a total headache. The inside pads slid right in like they were meant to, but those outside ones? Not so much. Anyone else run into this issue with VXR rear brake pads? Got any tips to make this whole thing less of a pain? I'm dying to know what I messed up.

The outer pads can be a total hassle thanks to tight caliper guides or a little corrosion buildup. Make sure those guides are squeaky clean - hit 'em with a wire brush and throw on a little brake grease. Also, don’t forget to double-check the anti-rattle clips! If they're not seated right, they’ll mess with the pad alignment.

Oh, good shout on the anti-rattle clips! I noticed one being a bit stubborn but thought I’d sorted it. Guess I didn’t give it enough attention. I’ll check it again. And wire brush and brake grease? Genius. I was so busy wrestling the pad that I didn’t even think about the guides. I’ll go back and give it all a proper clean. Cheers for that!
