I recently replaced the oil on my S/S CDTI 68, but the oil light stayed on, and now I’m getting code 89, indicating that a service is due. On top of that, the engine light has come on intermittently a couple of times. I’m looking for a way to reset all the lights and beeps, but I’ve been hesitant to buy from eBay, some tools are so overpriced, and others just don’t seem reliable. Ideally, I’m looking for a reset tool with a built-in calculator or an Android Bluetooth app to avoid the need for a laptop. Does anyonehave a good solution?

After you replace the oil, you have to reset the oil counter. Did you do that? Code 89 is nothing to worry about. It means that there is a fault code stored. In this case, I would visit the dealership. Good luck!

I didn’t reset the oil counter, so that could be the issue. I’ll try resetting it and check the fault codes. If that doesn’t work, I’ll visit the dealership
