Hey everyone, I’m prepping to replace the battery in my 2015 Corsa VXR, which still has the original GM one installed. It’s labeled as an AGM battery, but here’s the thing: my car doesn’t have stop-start functionality.

Do I stick with AGM for the replacement, or is a standard battery sufficient? I’ve been searching online, and there are a ton of options, both AGM and non-AGM, so it’s been a bit confusing.

Has anyone been in a similar situation or had this question answered? Would appreciate any guidance or personal experience to help clear this up!

As far as I know, it is recommended to replace an AGM batter with another AGM battery. Is there any significant price significant, or why the confusion?

Since your Corsa VXR doesn’t have stop-start, you can likely go with a standard battery instead of an AGM. AGM is usually for cars with stop-start or higher power demands
