Unusually Low Mileage on My Corsa

Hi everyone, I recently bought a Corsa 1.4 Petrol and noticed something concerning, the fuel tank only gets me about 150 km before it’s empty. I took the car in for a general service, and they told me everything looks fine, but the issue hasn’t gone away.

I’ve read online about possibly resetting the ECU to help with fuel efficiency, but I’m not sure if that’s the right solution or how to go about it.

Do anyone have any suggestions on what might be causing it? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Use a diagnostic scanner to check the fuel trim readings.
 
You probably have a PO171 code. If it is that one, you are lucky. It is not something so scary. There is not enough amount of fuel in the mixture.
